History Repeating?

Liverpool fire 15 first-half shots net-ward and come up empty (which is not surprising considering their recent lack of form around the cage). Benfica, already leading 1-0 from the first leg, gets a Simao wonder strike to go up 2-0 on aggregate and the Reds need three in the second frame to go through. Impossible. Three goals in forty-five second half minutes? Liverpool couldn't possibly do that, now could they?

X is moving out for good on Monday. Tonight, we're going to divvy up the CD collection. Fun. Fortunately, we don't have to do the same with the books (all mine) or the porn (also all mine).

I had lunch yesterday with Pauly, change100 and facty (thanks for coming out, kids). Mojito chicken is g00t. I'm happy to report I'm back up to 164 lbs., from my low-water mark of 162. I did weigh myself wearing wool socks though, so that might account for an extra few ounces. That's a new thing I've been doing around the house to tilt X: walking around in nothing but wool socks. I look like a hairless cat.

I finished 18th last night in the FT $11.5K Guarantee for a bit of cash. Game's coming back around. I made a couple of weak-tight plays I'd like to have back (folded AK in the BB to a UTG raise and subsequent push). Both my cards were live to JJ and 55 and woulda paid off. Also folded 77 to an EP raise and call where I would have flopped top set. Second one annoys me most, 'cause I had plenty of chips to see a flop and the implied odds were through the roof, especially when an ace turned and AK and AQ went to war. Still, if my biggest problem right now is being too weak-tight, it's way better than making the horrible calls I've been making the last 6 weeks. Baby steps.
