Sunday Silence sure was the better horse that day. When Easy Goer made his move, Sunday Silence actually had to check up a bit and then reloaded on the outside before winning the duel.
At the Belmont, however, Easy Goer really seemed the best horse... at the least, Pat Day ran a much better race and put Easy Goer in position to explode out of the final turn.
When you watch that backstretch you realize how much heart race horses have and how much winning is everything to them.
